Another really great hike. This year there is still some snow in high elevations. A good opportunity for the boys to play!

Interesting encounter today at the house...

Morning Hike

We are slowly getting used to our routine... A little work in the early morning, then around 9am, we go for hike in the area. 

Today's morning hike started just a couple miles from our house with a little snack on arrival. Again, Oliver enjoyed hiking with us on the way back as long as he could throw 'big' (that's his new word) rocks along the way...

He is so active, that by the time we get home, he is ready to go for a nice long 2-3 hr nap. So back to work for Ben and I....

Hiking pretty fun so far

Here we go again one year later, same first hike as last year, up 12,000ft (~4 000 m) for lunch!

Oliver is still doing good in the hiking carrier. The new thing this year, is that after carrying him up to the top of the mountain, he likes to hike down with us.

A good friend of mine recently moved to a rural part of New Mexico and received us well. He put us up in a cute typical adobe home at the Wyeth house (Wyeth the artist). 

His land had a large orchard of pears, apples and walnut trees and cows...

Texas Road trip

We just arrived in Colorado, where we rented a cute little chalet and will be spending 5 weeks.
To start, fun road trip through Texas, New Mexico and Colorado.

Summer in Austin

Oliver was out of daycare for a couple weeks before we left for Colorado. There was a lot play date, playground and swimming involved... :-)
