10 year anniversary in California + 2nd baby!
Ben and I went took a sweet little trip to California for our 10 year anniversary.
We had originally thought about going to some more exotic destination but with the second pregnancy on the way and the queasiness that goes with it, we decided it was safer to travel somewhere a little closer.
No regrets, we had a fabulous time in Yosemite National Park and on the Pacific coast. We rented a sweet little house right on the coast, and got to see seals and whales there.
Oliver also had a great time with his KK (Ben's mom) and got to visit his cousins while we were gone.
Here is a sample of our trip...

And the official announcement... little boy #2 is due September 27th.

Oliver's first cast
Most of you already know this, but just for keeping record of this little event, here is a little summary.
Oliver jumped off a playscape like a super hero about 5 weeks ago. Tibial fracture, 5 weeks in a cast extending from his toes to mid thigh.
Oliver being such an active boy, we were worried we were going to run out of things to do with him, no more parks, no more playgrounds.
The doctor said he would start walking on the cast again within 3 weeks... It took him 3 days.
He was such good sport, he never complained and got used to the cast so fast, it became part of his life.
When we told him it was time to remove it, he didn't quiet get it. This thing was now part of his leg and he was completely used to it.
After removing it last week, the doctor said he was going to be soar and not up for walking for a little while. Here is a video of him getting out of the doctor's office...

Little excursion to Boquillas, Mexico. Oliver got to ride a mule to go up to the village.
Same tacos as 15 years ago

Hiking in the Pyrenees
Ben and I spent 5 fabulous days "sans" kid, hiking in the Pyrenees from hut to hut.
Our base, little village in the Pyrenees, Cauterets
Hearty picnic of cheese and sausage
Lac d'Estom
7 lake hike
This is when we realized after about 5 hours of hiking, we still had to go on top of the mountain on the other side of the valley, .i.e. hike all the way down, then all the way up!
